Blogoversary Day 5
For today's cheesy post, I just want to talk about something... How freaking amazing the book blogosphere is. Whether it is bloggers, readers, publishers, authors, or whatever - especially in YA (because really, what else is there?) - the atmosphere is insane. And by insane I mean so much better, so much closer, so much more exciting than anyone would ever believe. I've made friendships (like I talked about before) with people that I've never met. Not in a weird, internet stalker way, but in a genuine way. I've communicated with authors online, met them in person, related to them in ways I never imagined I could. I mean, those are like my idols, people I am so impressed by, and I constantly get chances to interact with them. There are the readers who have made my week with nice emails or comments. There is so much love and enthusiasm in the YA community and I am so, so happy to be a part of it. Somedays I want to delete my blog and never have to deal with it again, but the YA family makes me loose my temporary insanity and brings me back to the plane of reason. Everyone who is reading this post is involved somehow, so thank you!

It's so true! I just started blogging pretty recently, but I've already made a couple friends and I really enjoy discussing books and such with fellow bloggers! I feel like sometimes the blogosphere is more supportive of our love for books than our real life family and friends can be. It's nice to have a group to talk about your favorite authors and books about! Not to mention all the opportunities we get to learn about upcoming books, talk with authors, enter giveaways, and just all the cool stuff that goes along with blogging.
ReplyDeleteHappy blogoversary!
It's like having a massive extended family. I love how everyone is so welcoming, friendly and helpful.
