What books your past self would recommend at ages 5, 11, 16 and 20?
At 5, I was into Strawberry Shortcake books and Care Bear books. You can probably still find them now though the characters are much cooler looking than the puffy hat days in
the 80s.
At 11, I was into the Baby Sitters Club. I so wanted to start my own Baby Sitters Club
At 16 (well, maybe it was more 14ish) I was really into the Sweet Valley High series and read over a hundred of them (I still have a bunch somewhere!) and I loved the Canterbury Hall series. I also loved all the taboo books back then like the ones that talked about teen pregnancy etc.
At 20, I wasn't reading anything for fun. I was reading loads of college text books then. But, if someone asked me now what to read at 20 I'd tell them to check out Sophie Kinsella, Meg Cabot, and Jane Green. Love them!
