Little Women & Me by Lauren Baratz-Logsted
Bloomsbury Publishing
November 8, 2011
Emily is sick and tired of being a middle sister. So when she gets an assignment to describe what she'd change about a classic novel, Emily pounces on Little Women. After all, if she can't change things in her own family, maybe she can bring a little justice to the March sisters. (Kill off Beth? Have cute Laurie wind up with Amy instead of Jo? What was Louisa May Alcott thinking?!) But when Emily gets mysteriously transported into the world of the book, she discovers that righting fictional wrongs won't be easy. And after being immersed in a time and place so different from her own, it may be Emily-not the four March sisters-who undergoes the most surprising change of all. Lauren Baratz-Logsted's winning confection will appeal to fans of Little Women as well as anyone who enjoys a modern twist on an old favorite.1.) E-books or real books?
Real books. I'm the world's biggest tech-not and it's amazing that I can do whatever I'm doing with you right now without hurting myself.
2.) Coffee or tea?
Lime Diet Pepsi.
3.) Country or pop?
Pop.
4.) East coast or west coast?
East Coast!
5.) Formal or casual?
Eclectic.
6.) Pencil or pen?
Pen, especially with crossword puzzles. If I'm going to make mistakes, I'm going to look confident while doing so.
7.) Past or future?
Past. It's probably why I've written four books that take place in Victorian times.
8.) Purple or pink?
Pink and proud of it.
9.) Cat or dog?
Cat! We have a new cat, Yoyo. He's watching me type this right now and he knows we're talking about him.
10.) Homemade or store-bought?
Store-bought. You don't want me to make anything for you because you'll never be able to tell what it is.
11.) Sun or rain?
Sun. I'm like a cat - I hate getting wet unless I'm supposed to and when it rains I feel as though the heavens are spitting on me.
12.) Saving or splurging?
Both!
13.) Morning or night?
Morning for writing, night for celebrating having written.
14.) Movies at home or in theaters?
Obsessive TV-watching at home, movies in theaters. My daughter and I like to take over six seats in the back row, three seats each, so we can stretch out head-to-head.
15.) Handwritten or typed?
Typed. My handwriting has deteriorated so much in recent years, I can't even read it.
Thanks for answering my ransom this-or-that's!
Thanks for having me!

Look out for my review coming tomorrow!

Stretching out head-to-head in a movie theater sounds like a great way to comfortably watch a movie! I gotta try this when I go watch the Breaking Down soon :)
