In My Mailbox (41)

In My Mailbox is a meme started by Kristi at The Story Siren. This meme is a place where people can learn about great books that they might not have known about, or to freak out over books they can't wait to get! This edition will be slightly boring, since most of the books I bought this week are for my AP summer work.

Bought (for fun)

The Butterfly Clues by Kate Ellison

Bough (for AP work)

One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan

A World Lit Only By Fire by William Manchester

All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque and A W. Wheen

(I also have to read Wuthering Heights, but I have that one already.)

  1. Haven't read the butterfly clues but it sounds interesting. I have read other works by Gabriel Garcia Marquez & I have liked his style & stories. Good readings! =)

  2. One Hundred Years of Solitude is on my TBR list - it's supposed to be amazing. Since you are reading it as required reading for AP classes - I hope so. I'm reading The Scorpio Races right now, along with my son, for his summer AP reading - SCORE!

    1. Here's to hoping it lives up to that! Haha. Naturally, since it is summer work, I'm dreading it. I hope that I actually enjoy it.

What the heck class gives The Scorpio Races?! That is a class I want to take!!! The Scorpio Races is on the "suggested" reading list for the whole school this summer.

  3. Butterfly Clues sounds good. I've never read All Quiet, but it's a classic, and supposed to be good. Hope you enjoy your books. My STS

    1. The thing with classics is that I never really enjoy them. Honestly, I don't even know why they are so "classic". But we'll see.... That cover really isn't helping it out. Haha
